I went to college in Seattle from 1988-1993 and saw Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Screaming Trees & Soundgarden in small clubs. Melvins blow all of them out of the water. They are flawless musicians live. They sound better live than recorded (who else can do that?). They never stop - no b.s. from the first to the last song straight thru in 60-70 minutes. I've seen them over a dozen times and every show is fantastic and better than any other band I have ever seen.
